Inauguration of Akshaya Patra’s Guwahati kitchen

The new state-of-the-art facility in Guwahati will replace Akshaya Patra’s former kitchen, was made possible through the support of the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The new kitchen can serve 50,000 school children in the surrounding areas. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, and Hon’ble Minister of Education, Health and Finance, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the kitchen in the presence of Shri Arvind Singh, Chairman, Airports Authority of India, with Hon’ble Union Minister, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri joining in virtually. The ceremony was presided by Shri Chanchalapathi Dasa, Vice-Chairman, The Akshaya Patra Foundation.
