Shankar Mahadevan receives National Award

Shankar Mahadevan, the famous music composer and singer, and also the Goodwill Ambassador of The  Akshaya Patra Foundation, has been awarded the National Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song ‘Bolo Na’ from the film Chittagong.  Shankar’s association with the Foundation came about as a part of the Billionth Meal celebration. He along with Javed Akhtar, the renowned lyricist composed ‘Gyan ki Roshni’ – a musical track as a tribute to the billion meals served by the Foundation since its inception.

Hearty congratulations to Shankar Mahadevan, on behalf of 1.3 million children and the entire Akshaya Patra family.
