The Akshaya Patra Foundation was featured on a television show, Rocky and Mayur’s Food Xpress. The show was aired on Living Foodz on 27 September, 2015. Renowned televisions artists Rocky Singh and Mayur Sharma visited the Vasanthapura kitchen and were taken on a kitchen tour. Both the hosts engaged in cooking rice and sambar and also helped in the loading process followed by a visit to a beneficiary school. They interacted with the students about the mid-day meals and also served the beneficiaries.

Representing Akshaya Patra was Bharatarshabha Dasa, PR head at ISKCON who was also interviewed for the show. The show briefly elucidated about the history and impact of the Foundation and also the technical aspects of the programme including the high health and hygiene standards maintained, and the Public-Private Partnership model implemented.
