Protinex partners with Akshaya Patra

Showcasing the amazing goals that can be achieved through corporate partnership with non-profit organisations, Protinex, India’s leading protein supplement brand announced the conclusion of their ‘Nutrition at Re. 1’ campaign with The Akshaya Patra Foundation. Following this announcement they made a donation of Rs. 27 lakhs to the organisation. Through this campaign Protinex successfully adopted 3,500 students from 28 schools, thereby upholding its vision of providing health through food.

In this campaign the company donated Re. 1 to The Akshaya Patra Foundation for every tin of the Protinex Original sold. By joining with Akshaya Patra for the campaign, Protinex was given access to a large network of schools where Akshaya Patra provides the mid-day meal and Protinex was helped play an active role in improving the lives of thousands of children through healthy food.

Speaking of their partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Rodrigo Lime, General Manager, Medical Nutrition said, “We are thrilled and humbled to support The Akshaya Patra Foundation in their noble cause of fighting hunger by providing nutritious mid-day meals in schools across the country. Meals act as a catalyst to taking children to schools in conjunction to providing the necessary nutrients for the physical and mental growth of children. We hope to continue supporting such initiatives and be a part of building a healthier India.”

This campaign is a shining example of the good that can be achieved through the public-private partnership model adopted by Akshaya Patra. With the assistance of the Government of India, corporates and donors, Akshaya Patra reaches out to 1.4 million children across 10,661 schools in 23 locations of India.
