The founder-chairman of Infosys Technologies, N R Narayan Murthy said inclusive growth is the need of the hour and it is the responsibility of fortunate people to ensure that all unfortunate hungry children of the nation are fed. He said: “I can understand the pain of hunger because I had experienced hunger once.”

He shared his awful experience when he was travelling from Bulgaria to Istanbul and remained hungry for 113 hours. “I had not taken food or water for 113 hours.” “There are millions who are hungry and it is our responsibility to ensure that every kid is fed properly,” he said while addressing people at an event organised by Akshaya Patra Foundation, an NGO that runs the largest school meal programme in the country.
