The former Justice of the Supreme Court D. K. Jain visited the Akshaya Patra Mangalore kitchen on 26 August, 2015. Justice D. K. Jain was accompanied by Akshaya Patra Unit President Karunya Sagar Dasa. Also present on the occasion was Asha Shetty, from the Dakshina Kannada Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and Akshaya Patra Operations Manager Nandanacharya Das. Mr. D. K. Jain was taken through the different sections of the kitchen and made to understand how the kitchen operates. He was impressed with the work of the Foundation and praised Akshaya Patra for adhering to high hygiene standards in the kitchen. Speaking on the occasion he said, “I am delighted to visit and see the Akshaya Patra kitchen run on a large scale to feed school children. I wish and pray that this kind of charity is undertaken by other NGOs/Foundations which will go a long way in bringing peace and harmony in families. All the best to those are engaged in the activities of this Foundation”.
