On 24 September, 2015, the Director of Campbellsville University, Kentucky, Mr. Dennis Paiva visited the Hubballi kitchen of The Akshaya Patra Foundation.  He was given a tour of the kitchen and was also informed about the operational processes of the kitchen that reaches nutritious mid-day meals to more than 1.4 million children every single day. The dignitary was extremely pleased to see the relentless effort put in by the Foundation to end classroom hunger and hence opined, “It is an amazing service you offer to the least in your community through passion, dedication and excellence. May the world bear witness of how such amazing things can be done with responsibility to care for people and the environment.”
