Former US President Bill Clinton will visit the centralised kitchen unit of The Akshaya Patra Foundation in Jaipur on Wednesday, 16 July, 2014. He arrived at Jaipur late night on Monday, 14 July, 2014. The former US President is here on a three-day tour of India during which he will visit Lucknow as well. Akshaya Patra provides food to 1.3 million government school children in India as part of the mid-day meal scheme. Clinton will also visit a nearby school. On Thursday, Mr. Clinton will visit a school and community centre in Lucknow, according to a release by the Clinton Foundation. Clinton’s visit is part of the Asia-Pacific tour during which he is also scheduled to visit Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia to assess the work of the Clinton Foundation.
