Akshaya Patra’s annual report for 2010-11 has been awarded as the second runner up by the South Asian Federation of Accounts (SAFA) under the category of Non Government Organizations (NGOs).

The awards under different categories are conferred on the basis of evaluation administered by SAFA’s committee for improvement in transparency,accountability and governance, of the published annual reports of entries from South Asian Countries.

The award ceremony was held on 29th November at Celebrity Hall, Banglabandhu International Conference Center, Dhaka,Bangladesh.  Mr Somashekar and Ms Gowri BM from the finance department also participated in the award ceremony.
