In one of the most competitive and largest award programmes honouring creative excellence for communication professionals, The Akshaya Patra Foundation was conferred with the 20th Annual Communicator Award of Distinction for overall design in the Print category. A whopping total of over 6,000 entries were received by The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) who judged the contest. These entries came from organisations and agencies from different sectors across the globe. Renowned industrial giants like DHL, Bank of America, B. Braun Medical, GA Communication Group, UnitedHealthcare and many more participated in the Communicator Award Competition.

The Silver statuette for Distinction Winners is indeed a prestigious recognition for The Akshaya Patra Foundation also because the organisation participated in ‘overall’ and not a specific category (like not-for-profit).

The criterion behind The Communicator Award is creative excellence for communication professionals. The award is given to honour the best practices in various categories like advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for Print, Video, Interactive and Audio. This year’s competition had the most number of entries in the history of Communicator Awards. In the year 2012, entities like Bloomberg, McMillan, Accenture, Benz Communications emerged winners in the Print category.

The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts was formed over a decade ago by notable communication professionals from acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms like AirType Studio, Condè Nast, Disney, Keller Crescent, Lockheed Martin, Monster.com, MTV, rabble+rouser, Time Inc., Tribal DDB, Yahoo!, so on and so forth.
