The situation of flood hit Alappuzha district, especially Upper Kuttanad seems challenging. There has been an increase in the water level of flood. To deal with this trying time of Kuttanad, the district administration has joined hands with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, to prepare and distribute food to the affected people at centres that are serving gruel in flood-hit region. S. Suhas – District Collector has mentioned that a team of 15 members from Akshaya Patra will start handing out the meals to the people from Monday.
