On 25 January 2023, the Honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inaugurated Akshaya Patra’s 66th kitchen in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, in the presence of Shri Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman – Akshaya Patra, and Shri Chanchalapathi Dasa, the Vice-Chairman – Akshaya Patra. Hindustan Electro Graphite Ltd funded the construction of the new facility.

The Bhopal kitchen is the biggest of Akshaya Patra’s 66 kitchens and the first one in Madhya Pradesh! It will serve over 50,000 school children with roti, poori, sabji, thepla, matar paneer, wheat cake, mixed veg soya masala, chole masala, rajma masala, jeera rice, plain rice, veg pulao, masala bhaji pulao, kheer and fruit on a weekly-rotational basis.
