On 15th May 2023, The Akshaya Patra Foundation launched ‘Clean Slate Carnival’: a drive to welcome children back to school. The pilot was carried out in collaboration with our corporate partners – Cargill, Happiest Minds, LSEG and Swiss Re. The drive was about revamping 18 schools across Bengaluru, which included cleaning school premises and painting blackboards and walls wherever necessary. 

The project lasted 10 days and saw an active participation from almost 500 volunteers. Our CEO, Shridhar Venkat also took part in the initiative and helped in creating a clean and hygienic environment for students. This project was a part of our Back to School campaign. We would like to thank our partners and volunteers who actively participated in this drive and made it successful.
