The Mangalore kitchen of the Akshaya Patra Foundation was visited by former Justice of the Supreme Court, D. K. Jain on 26 August, 2015. Asha Shetty, from the Dakshina Kannada Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission was also present on the occasion. They were given a tour around the kitchen and explained in detail of the functioning of the kitchen. Speaking on the occasion D. K. Jain said, “I am delighted to visit and see the Akshaya Patra kitchen run on a large scale to feed school children. I wish and pray that this kind of charity is undertaken by other NGOs/Foundations which will go a long way in bringing peace and harmony in families. All the best to those are engaged in the activities of this Foundation”.
