Akshaya Patra organised a programme, ‘A Salute To Our Teachers’ to honour teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 2015. The programme saw four schools collaborate to celebrate the spirit of Teacher’s Day. The students from the schools performed a skit called ‘Bala Vikasa’. They also put on a great performance and showed their appreciation for their teachers with four traditional dances from India. The students made graceful displays with a Bihu dance, Bharatnatyam and traditional dances from Odisha and Rajasthan.

The programme was conducted on two Saturdays of September at different venues. The opening programme was organised on 12 September, 2015 at the RV Girls High School followed by another programme at ISKCON on 19 September, 2015.
