Dmart

DMart is a one-stop supermarket chain that aims to offer customers a wide range of basic home and personal products, at a great value, all under one roof. DMart was started by Mr. Radhakishan Damani and his family to address the growing needs of the Indian family. From the launch of its first store in Powai in 2002, DMart today has a well-established presence in 196 locations across India. The supermarket chain of DMart stores is owned and operated by Avenue Supermarts Ltd. (ASL). The company is headquartered in Mumbai. DMart has sponsored to build a kitchen to feed over 20,000 school children in Bhiwandi, Thane.

ED&F

ED&F Man is a global agricultural commodities merchant company that is into trading sugar, coffee, molasses, pulses and animal feed. They also provide access to capital markets through their financial brokerage business. Established in 1783, today, ED&F Man is an employee-owned company with 7,000 people in 60 countries. During the pandemic of COVID-19, ED&F Man Commodities India Pvt Ltd., supported Akshaya Patra in its relief activities across Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Coorg in Karnataka.

EdelGive

EdelGive Foundation, set up in 2008, is the philanthropic arm of the Edelweiss Group. Through the last decade, EdelGive, has primarily been a grant making organization, supporting small and mid-sized NGOs across the country. Additionally, it has become the connecting platform between grant makers/donors and credible NGOs across the country. Their endeavour is to build sustainable institutions and organizations that promote societal growth and innovation, and advances the common good by bringing the skills, resources, and talents of the for-profit world to the not-for-profit world. EdelGive Foundation has sponsored the mid-day meals for 800+ students studying in Government and Government-aided schools of Rourkela.

eGain Communications Pvt. Ltd. is a customer engagement cloud solutions company that provides knowledge-powered software applications by delivering digital transformation services for leading brands. eGain’s products include applications that deliver unified multichannel customer service. eGain partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation in 2021 and has been supporting food and education of children studying in Government and Government-aided schools. It is currently supporting the Happiness Kits Programme to take care of children’s nutritional requirements during the pandemic.

They recognize that a strong educational background and proper nourishment are building blocks to a healthy, prosperous future. FactSet has partnered with Akshaya Patra to distribute more than two million meals to 1,000 children studying in government schools in Hyderabad during the academic year 2018. FactSet has also committed to promoting education through its volunteering activity throughout the fiscal year. The flag-off ceremony was held on March 1, 2018.

Franklin Templeton

Franklin Templeton’s association with India dates back to over two decades as an investor. As a part of the group’s major thrust on investing in markets around the world, the India Office was set up in 1996 as Templeton Asset Management India Pvt. Ltd. At Franklin Templeton, they understand that the strength of their business relationships is a key point of differentiation for them as a company, along with the trust that their business partners and clients have in them. They also help to create a “culture of compliance.” Franklin Templeton has sponsored to build a kitchen to feed over 15,000 school children in Jhangirpuri, New Delhi.

GEP

GEP is a diverse, creative team of people passionate about procurement. They deliver practical, effective services and software that enable procurement leaders to maximize their impact on business operations, strategy and financial performance. Their clients include market global leaders with far-flung international operations, Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises, leading government and public institutions. To further its vision to promote education and eliminate hunger, GEP partnered with Akshaya Patra to distribute one million meals to 1372 government school children in Hyderabad, during the academic year 2017. GEP donated 2 distribution vehicles, which will be used for delivering nutritious mid-day meals to the children in and around Hyderabad.
