Thane Kitchen also showcased maturity level of food safety. The Jury of CII recommended the Commendation for strong commitment to Food safety award for The Akshaya Patra foundation Thane, Maharashtra in the Category of ‘Small & Medium Food Service – Catering, for the year 2019. 

Mr. Suresh Nimonkar (General Manager Operations Thane kitchen), Suresh Kumar P (Deputy General Manager – Quality), received the award from Mr. Pawan Agarwal, CEO, FSSAI  & Mr. S Dave, Chairman Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan, Former Chairman Codex Alimentarius Commission and Former Chairman FAO/WHO Co-ordinating committee for Asia, on 11 December 2019, at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
